Upskill in AI is based in South Africa. This page explains what we collect when you use upskillinai.com and what we do with it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, for people in the UK and EU, the GDPR.
What we collect
- For the free workshop: your name, email, WhatsApp number and country.
- For team enquiries: your name, company, work email, phone number and team size.
- For the newsletter: your email address.
- How you found us, such as the flyer, ad or link you used, and your browser type.
How we use it
- To send your workshop joining link, reminders and session materials by email and WhatsApp.
- To tell you about our 14-Day AI Accelerator after the workshop. You can opt out at any time.
- To reply to your team enquiry.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to.
- To understand which channels bring people to the workshop.
We do not sell your information.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the workshop: our website host (Cloudflare), our email provider, Zoom and WhatsApp. Some of these process data outside South Africa under their own data protection terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you take part in our workshops or programmes, and for up to two years after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or stop all marketing, by emailing hello@upskillinai.com. Every email we send has an unsubscribe option, and you can reply STOP to any WhatsApp message. You can also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za), or to your local data protection authority in the UK or EU.
